Political Humor Newt Gingrich Unedited Interview

This is Peter Schiff.

“This is going to be an enormous credit crunch. The party is over for the United States.” - Peter Schiff, August 18th 2007

For many months and perhaps even years Peter Schiff appeared on MSM shows and networks to comment on the state of the economy. As a stock broker he knew a thing or two about how the economy worked, but he knew a lot more than the average guy. For months and perhaps even years he has consistent and persistent predictions over the state of the US (and indeed the world) economy over that it was heading for collapse.

People laughed at him.

THEY LAUGHED AT HIM.

And then look what happened.

In fact as this recent clip (June 9th) from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart will show, news anchors from MSM mocked him live on the air. How dare he rain on everyone’s capitalist parade, in fact, he MUST be a communist!

In in the 2008 presidential election he took the post of Ron Paul’s economic adviser which ultimately packaged the Ron Paul Revolution campaign as possibly the most outlandish thing in America at the time, it’s just really unfortunate that they were right about everything.

Check out the video to learn more about Peter Schiff - a very interesting man.

Legendary American comedian George Carlin who sadly died last summer does a sketch on civil rights, religion, God, and just how trivial Americans take religion in general. It’s very worth watching because he has a certain way of putting complicated and touchy religious business in a humorous and logical way that makes you think, “Damn! it’s so obvious!”

“[In an American court,] suppose they hand you an upsidedown backward chinese braille bible with half the pages missing. Would that count?”

If you watch one video today make this it, it might just change something you think, or if it doesn’t you’ll at least get a few laughs. And don’t be afraid to share it because it’s good stuff!

Microblog people!

“buying a chick costs three dollars. So for basically the price of a carton of eggs, you can get the whole factory - and a new pet.”

Now why didn’t I think of that sooner…time to enterprise!

gumz

Well, to kick off the blog I reckon a really trivial post is in order.

My great aunt supplies me weekly with some kind of sugary treat. This week’s delight was a bag of Marks & Spencer’s Fruit Gums. These are possibly the nation’s favourite form of absorbing sugar - have you ever met someone who will turn down a fruit gum?

There is a problem however with this amazing product. Variation.

While everyone is going to have varying tastes, we all know that the “red ones” and the “black ones” are the nicest - inevitably raspberry and blackberry. So are lemon, lime and orange really necessary? Maybe I’m totally wrong and consumers like all the other flavours to break up the enjoyment of the more awesome ones, or maybe I’m just talking rubbish. All I know is that I’ve ingested half the bag writing this post, and I won’t be stopping until it’s finished.

Now, where’s my toothbrush.
